Cambridge, MA, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026
The Food Allergy Science Initiative (FASI) and InBio announced today a partnership that will help accelerate the future of food allergy research. As FASI’s exclusive provider of food allergen proteins, InBio delivers a dependable channel for high-quality materials on which FASI’s validation and translational work depends.
“InBio is respected globally across the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and academic research communities because of their proven record of delivering exceptional tools and scientific expertise to move promising science forward,” said Dr. Erin Straub, senior director of strategic partnerships and operations at FASI. “This partnership will accelerate our drug-discovery pipeline and aligns with the scientific rigor that FASI brings to the pursuit of understanding, treating, and curing food allergies.”
In addition to providing reagents, this partnership brings additional pre-clinical CRO services to FASI, including allergen detection, formulation support, and specialized testing, tailored to allergy immunotherapy developers. Across 20-plus world-class laboratories, FASI scientists will have access to specialized capabilities without needing to build additional infrastructure in-house.
“InBio is excited to support FASI and its impressive network of researchers as they pursue breakthrough discoveries that could transform the lives of millions of people affected by food allergy,” said Dr. Martin Chapman, President & CEO of InBio. “This partnership builds upon InBio’s work, empowering companies to improve commercially available food products, develop new therapeutics, and advance critical food allergy research.”
Since 2016, FASI has deployed over $50 million in research to support innovative food allergy research across different leading scientific institutions. The organization will celebrate its 10th anniversary in October at FASI 10, a landmark event bringing together the top minds in food allergy research and treatment, industry partners, and community members.
