Manager for the Tissue Culture – MolMart Facility

MolMart is a research resource that provides reagents and supplies to SOM investigators on an as-needed basis. MolMart Director works closely with the ORCA Business Manager and the Director for Research Infrastructure. A bachelor’s degree, basic understanding of research activities, competency with Microsoft Office, and institutional record keeping and reporting is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing the ordering, inventory, and invoicing of goods provided for research personnel in the School of Medicine. As such, the position continually assesses the needs of the research community to determine the optimal product inventory in the core, supports investigators with special orders, and provides excellent customer service. In addition, person in this position is responsible for negotiating contracts with suppliers to assure best prices for the customers.


Experience and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of inventory management or ability to learn
  • Basic understanding of research activities
  • Good organizational skills and record keeping

Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
