Caretaker Medical® based in Charlottesville, Virginia, was founded in March 2014 to commercialize wireless patient monitoring devices built around its Patented Pulse Decomposition Analysis technology.

 

The company has developed the Caretaker wearable wireless vital signs monitoring system that sets a new standard in portability, simplicity, and medical-grade patient monitoring.  Using a small, comfortable finger cuff, CareTaker accurately measures continuous non-invasive beat-by-beat Blood Pressure (“cNIBP”), ECG-Accurate Heart Rate, and Respiration Rate, as well as Blood Volume (for hemorrhage detection), Arterial Stiffness, and other hemodynamic parameters.

 

We are looking for a highly experienced, multi-talented engineer to join our fast growing Medical Device development team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder skilled in electronics hardware, software, and firmware design with significant experience in developing embedded solutions, scalable apps, and high quality products in compliance with ISO 13485 standards. BS degree and 8+ years of embedded hardware and software development is required.

Key Responsibilities

The Staff Engineer position will interface and contribute meaningfully across all facets of the product development life-cycle, including requirements & specifications development, PCBA and hardware design, embedded software & firmware development, App and GUI development, V&V testing, documentation, hardware and software troubleshooting & repair, new product introduction, and field support.

Experience and Qualifications

BS degree and 8+ years of embedded hardware and software development is required.
