Afton Scientific is seeking a dynamic Manager / Director to join our growing Supply Chain team. As part of our $200M investment in expanding our sterile-fill-finish services, the Manager / Director will be a key team member establishing supply planning and procurement functions for the business within the SAP B1 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a complete S&OP process, executing planning cycles, bulk manufacturing, scenario planning, inventory movement, and lead times.
- Contribute to building and maintaining supply planning models for commercial and clinical demands, showing API, bulk, primary, and finished material requirements and inventories driven by forecast requirements.
- Collaborative member of the Ops working team to communicate supply plans, assess impacts of delays, or forecast changes. Adjust the Supply plan as appropriate to accommodate operational requirements and/or influence the team and leadership to adjust manufacturing strategies to meet program supply demands.
- Contribute to developing a budget and long-range corporate planning.
- Develop high-level metrics/reports for the new ERP system to engage senior leadership.
- Review inventory reports from CMOs. Report inventory balance changes accurately to reflect the physical flow of material, ensuring lot traceability for both GMP and financial reporting requirements.
- Perform inventory reconciliations between CMO and internal inventory management systems.
- Manage the purchase order process and continue to assist the company in digitizing and improving the purchase cycle.
Experience and Qualifications
- BS degree in business or supply chain management.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain management supporting a GMP manufacturing environment. Ten (10) years of GMP manufacturing supply chain management experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory systems, supply chain flow processes, supply planning, and contract manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in ERP planning modules and inventory management systems.
- Pharmaceutical CDMO experience in the sterile filling product line is a plus.
