The Focused Ultrasound Foundation was created to improve the lives of millions of people with serious medical disorders by accelerating the development and adoption of focused ultrasound. Focused ultrasound is an early-stage, non-invasive therapeutic technology that could transform the treatment of many medical disorders by serving as an alternative or complement to surgery and radiation.

Working to clear the path to global adoption, the Foundation coordinates and funds research, fosters collaboration, overcomes regulatory and reimbursement challenges and builds awareness. The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that focused ultrasound finds its place as a mainstream therapy for a range of conditions within years, not decades. Since its establishment, the Foundation has become the largest non-governmental source of funding for focused ultrasound research.
