Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee basic accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory management, expenses, etc.
  • Recognize patterns in company spending and revenues
  • Conduct monthly and annual closings and provide appropriate reports
  • Manage the infrastructure of the FP&A process and work with senior leadership in developing budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis
  • Manage external financial entities on behalf of the company
  • Supervise financial audits and act as the financial point person during due diligence exercises
  • Work with the CEO and other senior management on operational projects as they arise
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to suppliers between the company’s two offices

Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications… Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting or finance or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management
  • Experienced user of Quickbooks and related software
  • Strong organizational skills, communications skills, and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Teams, etc.

Desirable… Good to Haves:

  • FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) experience
  • Demonstrated interest in life sciences (tools industry)
  • Consulting experience such as strategy consulting, cost accounting, etc.
  • Other operations experience such as contracting, H/R functions, etc.
