Human Resources Generalist

RIVANNA is seeking a passionate human resources professional to make RIVANNA a premier employment destination within our industry. You will work within a talented team of professionals as we strive to achieve our mission of improving global healthcare through innovative medical technology. This role will involve evaluating and improving employee programs, setting and managing employee-related policies, and contributing to the overall administrative management of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate RIVANNA hiring and onboarding programs.
  • Collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives by executing activities including, but not limited to, recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and feedback analysis with the goal of creating a world-class employee experience.
  • Maintain employee contracts, job descriptions, and job postings and update as needed.
  • Payroll management
  • Assist with performance evaluations and development planning activities.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Proficient understanding of compliance related to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of employee contracts and applicable local, state, and federal employment law
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft word and excel.
  • Experience with HRIS management, Zenefits is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP preferred, but not required
